
Maria Caulfield, Member of Parliament for Lewes, has been ranked Number 3 in a list of MP’s who most contributed to debates in the House of Commons in October 2023.
The list was compiled by the website ScrutinyCounts. The website uses the official parliamentary record, Hansard, to calculate how many words Members of Parliament have spoken in the chamber.
For the month of October 2023, Maria Caulfield was ranked as being the third highest contributor to debates in the House of Commons, behind the Prime Minster Rishi Sunak and DUP MP Jim Shannon.
Maria Caulfield participated in 13 debates during the month, speaking a total of 14,000 words.
The Lewes MP was is also currently ranked as the 13th highest contributor in the House of Commons for the Year 2023, participating in 92 debates and speaking 73,000 words.
