Maria Caulfield, Member of Parliament for Lewes, was pleased to join the Newhaven Bowls Club for their Open Day in Newhaven.
The Newhaven team recently beat Seaford in the local derby to win the cup and are looking to welcome some new members to their friendly team.
They were one of the first Bowling Clubs in the UK and were founded in 1902. In 1903 they were one of the founder members of the EBA, now Bowls England, as well as being a founding member of the Sussex County Bowling Association in 1909.
They are a very sociable and friendly club, welcoming both male and female members and play mixed fixtures as well as offering free trial sessions with a nationally qualified coach and experienced club members who will be happy to give coaching sessions to beginners and any others who think they would benefit.
