Lewes MP Maria Caulfield has congratulated local brewery Harveys on winning a Gold award in the Champion Beer of Britain awards at this year’s Great British Beer Festival.
The Great British Beer Festival is one of the biggest, most exciting and well-known annual events in the beer and cider world dating back to 1977. Organised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) and staffed by 1000’s of beer loving volunteers, it brings hundreds of UK beers, international beers and real ciders and perries under the iconic Olympia London roof. It is also home to the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain award, includes categories for: Milds, Session & Premium Bitter, IPA, Session & Premium Pale/Blond/Golden Ale.
Harveys has been awarded Gold in the Milds category.
Maria Caulfield MP said “A huge congratulations to Miles Jenner and the whole team at Harveys for this fantastic award. Harveys is a huge part of Lewes, not only making great tasting local beers but also giving so much back into the local community. This award is thoroughly deserved.”
