Christmas came early for some older members of the Newhaven community at the weekend, when they were joined by their local MP Maria Caulfield for an annual Christmas Party, hosted by Newhaven Rotary.
The annual event, which was kindly hosted by long standing supporters of the local community, the Rotary Club of Newhaven and held at Telscombe Hall, looked to bring older members of the community together over a Christmas tea as well as a game of bingo.
Rotary organisations carry out vital work for communities across the UK, both supporting residents, campaigning on important issues within their local area whilst also raising thousands of pounds for charity each year.
Speaking afterwards, the Lewes MP said:
“I hugely welcome the work carried out by all of the Rotary Clubs within my constituency, who do so much to support their local communities and charities.”
“This event, very kindly hosted by the Rotary Club of Newhaven, demonstrates just some of the fantastic work carried out by these organisations.”
