The event was held at 10 Downing Street to celebrate healthcare champions from across the country ahead of the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I was pleased to have been able to nominate Dr Raj Chandarana and Cllr Sam Adeniji as local healthcare champions. It was wonderful to be able to bring them to Downing Street and met other such important people from across the country. Sam campaigned so hard to keep Eastbourne District General Hospital open when it was under threat of closure and Dr Raj is leading the work on getting a new health hub for Seaford.”
“Working with Dr Raj and Sam we are determined to get a solution for Seaford in terms of a new health hub for the town.”
