Maria Caulfield, Member of Parliament for Lewes, was thrilled to catch up with Sedat, Zorba’s owner and taste more of their brilliant Turkish food.
Sedat Zorba at Zorba Meze Grill has created one of Lewes town's most talked about restaurants and it's Kent's number one Turkish restaurant on TripAdvisor with another in Tunbridge Wells. Zorba pride themselves on only creating food made with fresh ingredients and producing freshly prepared mezes and chargrilled kebabs, both in their restaurant and for their buffets.
The 40-year-old turned the cafe he'd had since 2009 into Turkish restaurant Zorba in 2017, opening before even the new sign was above the door. It had 60 covers and Sedat said: "Soon we were turning away so many bookings. We were getting fully booked three weeks in advance."
Sedat acquired the shop next door and expanded Zorba in December to 150 covers and he's still packing out the restaurant.

“I always love visiting Zorba Meze Grill as they have such incredibly tasty food. You can really tell how much passion there is behind the food and the hard work the team put into make you feel so welcome.
It was great to hear from Sedat how his restaurants are going from strength to strength and during such tough times.
Congratulations to Sedat and his dedicated team. I can’t wait to come back for more Turkish cuisine.”
