Newhaven MP Maria Caulfield joined hundreds of local residents at the Fort Road Recreation Ground for the annual RNLI Summer Fayre.
The event included fun for all the family with a climbing wall, a kids funfair, stalls, games, crafts, displays and music to raise money in aid of the RNLI Newhaven.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I was delighted to be able to join so many local people at the RNLI Summer Fayre in Newhaven. Our local lifeboat volunteers are real heroes risking their lives to save others at sea in the most perilous of conditions. It was clear from those at the event the high regard in which the community hold our local RNLI crews and I am so pleased that the event raised over £8,000 for them. Many thanks to the team for organising such a wonderful community event.”
