Maria Caulfield MP visits local Army Cadets

Newhaven and Seaford MP Maria Caulfield has visited No 2 (Seaford) / No 21 (Newhaven) Detachments of D Company Sussex Army Cadet Force at their training centre.

During her visit Maria Caulfield MP met with the Commandant of Sussex ACF Colonel David Steele and was briefed on the various aspects of the training and activities undertaken by the cadets before visiting them during their training. Maria Caulfield was able to talk with cadets from Seaford and Newhaven about their time in the cadets.

Maria Caulfield MP said “I’d like to thank Colonel Steele, all of the adult instructors and all of the cadets for welcoming me to their training weekend to see everything that they do during their training. Whether or not cadets choose to go into the military the Army Cadet Force is an excellent way of making friends, learning valuable life skills and boosting confidence. It’s clearly not easy and the cadets all put in so much hard work and dedication, so well done to them all for what they do.”
