Maria Caulfield MP has visited the Sussex Disability Football League’s tournament being held at the Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford.
The Sussex Disability Football League was originally set up in 2009 to offer competitive football for both male and female players of all ages.
As part of her visit Maria Caulfield MP watched several games before speaking with coaches, managers and players.
At the end of the tournament Seaford FC were crowned winners having won all of their games and drawing against Worthing who also won all of their other games. Seaford were crowned champions based on a 10/10 respect score for the tournament compared to Worthing’s 9/10.
Maria Caulfield MP said “Congratulations to all who took part and organised the fantastic tournament at Downs Leisure Centre in Seaford. It was excellent to see such a well organised event and great that respect was such an important part, that ultimately decided the tournament winners.”
