Maria Caulfield, MP for Seaford, was delighted to help open the summer garden party at Threeways Nursing Home at Seaford.
Ms Caulfield was able to join in by talking to residents and staff of the Nursing Home amongst other visitors, and there was plenty of cake and tea to be enjoyed.
The event was in aid of Cancer Research and Ms Caulfield, who is a cancer nurse by profession, has consistently spoke out in Parliament about cancer-related issues and ways in which the disease can be fought.
Following the event, Ms Caulfield said, “It is always wonderful when local organisations take the time to hold such events, and I congratulate everybody who was involved. The more people we can get involved in raising money for combatting cancer, the more likely we are to beat the disease sooner.”
“I also commend the work of the staff at Threeways Nursing Home, who I know have a tireless dedication to their residents. It was wonderful to see this on display and it was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion”
