Maria Caulfield MP has joined The Great Get Together in Parliament in memory of the late Jo Cox MP.
The Great Get Together was inspired by Jo Cox MP to bring people together to celebrate that we have more in common than that which divides us.
On the weekend closest to Jo’s birthday - which is 24-26 June this year – The Great Get Together brings together communities to celebrate what unites us, to bridge divides and to tackle loneliness. Through the Great Get Together, people across the country are asked to make new connections and promote Jo's message of unity.
Maria Caulfield MP said “It was a pleasure to join The Great Get Together in Parliament to discuss their work to unite the communities across the country and celebrate the life of my former colleague Jo Cox.”
“As Jo said we ‘have far more in common than that which divides us’ and this is shown in the fantastic work of The Great Get Together and the Jo Cox Foundation.”
