Lewes MP Maria Caulfield has joined local residents at the 7th annual Seahaven Para-Games.
The event included an opening ceremony, a variety of sports such as Wheelchair Slalom, Table Tennis, Boccia, Indoor Bowls and Table Cricket, as well as a medal ceremony.
Wave Leisure Trust again organised and hosted the well-attended event. The day enabled local adult residents from across Seaford, Newhaven, Peacehaven and Lewes, with disabilities, to participle and try various sports and activities, supported by an array of local coaches.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I’d like to thank all those who helped organise such a great day, and well done to all of those who took part. Special thanks must go to Seaford Rotary Club, and Sainsbury’s in Newhaven who sponsored the event.”
“I hope that everyone enjoyed trying out all of the different sports on offer and will want to take them up regularly as being physically active is so important to our health.”
