Maria Caulfield MP has joined Newhaven residents at Paradise Park for a charity coffee morning to raise vital funds for St Wilfred’s Hospice and other local charities.
The Newhaven MP was met at Paradise Park by Director Darren Clift and had the chance to talk with the many local residents who had come along to support the fundraising efforts. The coffee morning was organised as part of Hospice Care Week and saw all profits from the sale of hot drinks as well as money raised from other fun activities going to local hospices including St Wilfred’s.
The coffee morning raised over £500 for St Wilfred’s and over £4000 in total for all of the charities beating last years fundraising effort by £1500.
Maria Caulfield MP said “I’d like to congratulate Darren Clift and all of the staff at Paradise Park for organising such a wonderful charity coffee morning which has raised so much money for some very important local charities including St Wilfred’s Hospice.”
“It was brilliant to see the coffee shop full of local residents helping to raise such a significant amount of money for the local hospices.”
