Maria Caulfield, MP for Lewes, attended the village fair at Bishopstone on Saturday afternoon.
Mrs Caulfield was delighted to participate in the fun-packed afternoon. The event included circus performances, tea and cake, and stalls manned by local people. Maria particularly enjoyed talking to local residents about their concerns and enjoying the warm weather in good company. The fair was in aid of Bishopstone Parish Hall.
Maria commented, “A village fair is always the perfect place to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. The residents of Bishopstone for made me feel so welcome and I thank them for putting on a fantastic occasion. I particularly enjoyed the performances from Seaford Primary School Choir and the various other musical acts. I also love to see all the wonderful local produce.”
“I hope that all who attended had an enjoyable day, and that sufficient funds were raised for the Parish Hall. Thank you again Bishopstone!”
