Maria Caulfield MP has called on the Government to put an end to short formations of trains on Southern Rail.
Following ongoing problems on Southern Rail constituents are still reporting issues to Maria Caulfield MP in particular the short formation of trains leaving passengers standing for entire journeys. In some cases trains that had previous been as long as 8 coaches are now routinely down to only 4 coaches.
Maria Caulfield MP said “My constituents have suffered for far too long on Southern Rail. The short formation of trains is leaving inadequate space for the number of passengers on these journeys meaning that many are standing in cramped conditions for lengthy periods of time. I have raised the issue with Ministers and I hope that action will be taken to end this practice.”
