Lewes MP praises good state of local healthcare

Maria Caulfield has praised the good state of local healthcare following Parliamentary research which shows it to be in good condition.

Statistics from the Parliamentary Research Unit show that 100% of GPs in NHS High Weald Lewes Havens CCG are good or outstanding. The research also showed that 230 more doctors and 356 more nurses carried out an additional 25,585 operations and an additional 61,335 diagnostic tests compared with 2009/2010. 83% of people referred to Improving Access to Psychological Therapies were seen within 6 weeks compared to the target of 75%.

The same research also showed that funding has been increasing as well, with NHS High Weald Lewes Havens CCG receiving £203.7 million in 2017/18 (2.03% increase on previous year) and is due to receive a further 1.99% increase next year to £207.7 million.
