The Member of Parliament for Lewes is wishing everyone around the world, particularly those with an Irish background a happy St Patrick’s Day.
Being the daughter of Irish immigrants Maria Caulfield has been working to ensure the excellent relationship between Ireland and the UK is maintained post-Brexit having recently questioned Brexit Secretary David Davis on work to promote our relationship with Ireland.
Maria Caulfield has also been appointed the Vice-Chair of the Irish in Britain Parliamentary group where she seeks to promote the joint values of the UK and Ireland with fellow Members of Parliament and Peers.
Maria Caulfield said “I am proud of my Irish heritage and want to ensure that the close working relationship between Ireland and the UK continues.”
