Standing up For our Villages

The constituency of Lewes has a unique character, from the historic town of Lewes, through to the coastal towns of Newhaven and Seaford and including the rural villages such as Ditchling, Wivelsfield, Chailey and Alfriston. Each and every part of the constituency is different and unique.

For me it is really important that each town and village is supported to keep its uniqueness and this means supporting the existing infrastructure that creates these such as local businesses, pubs, faith groups, charities and community groups that come together to make our local towns and villages.

Protecting local shops and services in our villages is a key issue for me. Once we start to lose these, village life is negatively affected. I am not waiting to be elected to make a difference I have already supported the successful campaign to save Ditchling Post Office.
