Maria Caulfield, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Lewes has today pledged to continue to support WASPI Women in their campaign for fairer pension age changes.
As part of Maria Caulfield’s top 24 achievements as an MP for 24 months number 22 is the support showed to WASPI Women during her two years as the MP for Lewes.
Maria Caulfield campaigned alongside local WASPI Women by joining them at street stalls, calling for the changes to be looked at again in Parliament and submitting a Parliamentary Petition with thousands of signatures from local people who agree that WASPI Women have been unfairly treated.
Maria Caulfield said “During the last Parliament I was proud to stand up for WASPI Women both locally and in Parliament.”
“WASPI Women have been treated unfairly by changes to their state pension and deserve justice. Today I pledge to continue to do all I can to give them this justice should I be re-elected on 8th June.”
